Terrence Jack said he believes Connecticut residents don't get enough chances to celebrate Caribbean culture. That's why Jack, founder of the Danbury-based concert and festival promotion company Heart and Soul Entertainment, said he's hosting an event this weekend that will celebrate one of the Caribbean's most popular exports -- music.
YEARS of touring have earned southern California singer Mike Pinto a strong fan base in the United States, especially on the east coast. His new album, Truthful Lies, debuted at number two last week on the Billboard Reggae Album chart. It also came in at number one on the iTunes Reggae chart.
The single was produced by Clevie of iconic duo Steely and Clevie, and was expected to be featured on Mr Vegas' most recent studio album called Sweet Jamaica. However, because of the dispute over the rhythm, the song was axed from the album.
Mavado is in high spirits following his billboard accomplishment.
Vado has become the first Caribbean dancehall entertainer to have his video exclusively premiere on Billboard after the visuals for his single, 'Take It' featuring Karian Sang debuted on the magazine's website on Monday.
Mavado tells Music News that it is a great achievement for dancehall and Jamaica.
The single was produced by Troyton Music and distributed by Zojak World Wide while the accompanying video was directed by Scorpio 21.
In the meantime, Mavado has another major international collab on the way featuring DJ Khaled and Rick Ross.
Vado is also putting the finishing touches on his debut album under the We The Best Music Group/Young Money Cash Money Billionaires (YMCMB) umbrella.
